classes :: workshops
YOGART STUDIO classes and workshops offer children an opportunity to learn through movement and creative expression. On average, YOGART classes are 60 minutes in length, divided into YOGA and ART. An emphasis on yoga, breathing, and relaxation is placed in the first half of class. Next, children are introduced to an artist, highlighting a specific style and/or application of visual arts. Children are encouraged to take risks and embrace the process of creating art over the final product. Discussion regarding personal sources of creativity and inspiration is encouraged amongst the children to further promote possibility thinking, communication, self-awareness, and respect and understanding of another person’s point of view. Workshops focus on a set of specific applications of visual art forms and how these techniques may be revised and revisited throughout an extended and planned art project.
YOGART STUDIO is a pop-up yoga+art studio. Check out YOGART STUDIO’s schedule for information and locations of classes/workshops that are currently being offered. For more information about YOGART STUDIO check out our mission :: vision :: values / faq / philosophy.
